Xbox Partner Preview Is Thursday; Here’s What to Expect

Summary

  • Xbox Partner Preview returns Thursday, March 26 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 5 PM UK, streaming on YouTube and Twitch
  • Confirmed appearances include Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Stranger Than Heaven, the first story DLC for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and Owlcat Games’ The Expanse: Osiris Reborn
  • Microsoft has confirmed world premieres, unannounced first looks, and new Xbox Game Pass day-one announcements alongside the headliners

Xbox announced Monday that its fifth Partner Preview broadcast lands this Thursday. Fans can expect a 30-minute showcase dedicated entirely to third-party partners rather than first-party Xbox studios. The format has been consistent since the series launched in October 2023: fast-paced, game-focused, no padding. Thursday’s edition is the first under new Xbox Gaming CEO Asha Sharma, which gives it a degree of added context beyond the individual reveals.

Three titles are already confirmed. Here is what each of them brings to the table.

Stranger Than Heaven – The One With the Most to Prove

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Stranger Than Heaven, formerly codenamed Project Century, gets the headline slot with what Microsoft is calling an “in-depth look.” The game was first unveiled at The Game Awards 2024 and received a story trailer at Summer Game Fest 2025, but substantive gameplay has been scarce since. Thursday is the first real opportunity for RGG Studio to show how Stranger Than Heaven plays, not just how it looks. For a studio with the pedigree of the Like a Dragon and Judgment series behind it, expectations are reasonably high along with the patience of fans who have been waiting since 2024 for something concrete is running thin.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 – First Story DLC Confirmed

GSC Game World will present the first story expansion for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The base game launched in late 2024 to a broadly positive reception after a long and difficult development period. The DLC reveal is the first meaningful content update since launch and will be closely watched by a fanbase that has remained engaged through multiple post-launch patches.

The Expanse: Osiris Reborn – New IP Worth Watching

Owlcat Games brings The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, an action-RPG set in James S.A. Corey’s science fiction universe. Owlcat’s background is in deep, systems-heavy RPGs such as Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous and Rogue Trader, making the move into an action-RPG format is an interesting pivot. Early impressions from those who have seen it draw comparisons to Mass Effect. Whether that holds up to scrutiny Thursday is one of the more genuinely open questions going into the show.

Wrapping Up

Beyond the confirmed three, Microsoft has promised world premieres and unannounced first looks from additional partners. Xbox Game Pass day-one announcements are also confirmed, which historically represent some of the more consequential news from these showcases for players deciding what to subscribe to. The stream goes live Thursday at 10 AM PT on YouTube and Twitch. Everything worth knowing will be here shortly after.
