Key Highlights:

  • The Simpsons is expected to get its own collab event in Fortnite soon.
  • This collab could bring with it a very detailed map of the region of Springfield.
  • Hopefully, this could snowball into a full fledged game for The Simpsons in the future.

Fortnite is no stranger to weird and wacky collaborative events, and often adds in surprisingly well established IPs to the mix. With entries such as DC Comics, movie based tie ins and video game franchises such as Metal Gear Solid, Fortnite is very much the melting pot of video game culture in the present day.

The newest collaboration on the rumor mill points toward The Simpsons, the perennial animated American sitcom that delves into satirical comedy. This particular leak indicates that the collab could be a lot more large scale than usual, having a dedicated Springfield map to go along with it.

A Fully Featured Map of Springfield Could Be Making Its Way to the Upcoming Fortnite x The Simpsons Collab

After months of intense speculation, Fortnite might finally be gearing up to release a collaboration event with The Simpsons, as part of the rumored โ€˜mini seasonโ€™ update from Epic Games.

The same has been suggested by Epic Games to be really happening and could be scheduled to begin on November 1, 2025. As is the case with most Fortnite collabs, expect there to be an assortment of character skins, goofy cosmetics, and miscellaneous other additions (of the non pay to win variety) being added over the course of the event.

However, one of the more intriguing leaks suggests that the entirety of Springfield (that is, the fictional town where The Simpsons takes place) could be making its way to Fortnite.

This information comes courtesy of reputed leakers such HYPEX, among others. Given their track record of providing reliable, accurate leaks over the past few months, this information can be deemed as trustworthy.

While we really donโ€™t know the extent of the map (or even its actual, represented contents) we can however, speculate. It is very likely that Epic Games is going to release a distilled version of Springfield, with a handful of interactive environments and locations. After all, bringing the entirety of the map from the animated show might prove to be too much of a technical challenge.

That being said, the overall experience should be mostly pleasant – a staple that has been established in previous Fortnite collabs,

Now Is a Good Time as Any to Make a New Simpsons Game

With the upcoming Simpsons collab for Fortnite, now is a good time as any to be developing a new, fully featured Simpsons game. Most fans would agree on the same, and it’s been over 20 years since the greatest Simpsons game of all time, โ€˜Hit & Runโ€™ was released to the public.

For the uninitiated, Hit & Run was a 2003 action adventure game featuring The Simpsons, being developed by Radical Entertainment and Vivendi Universal Games. Initially released for the PlayStation 2, Gamecube and Xbox consoles, the game ultimately made its way to Windows PCs back in November, 2003 where it still maintains a passionate fanbase.

Hit & Run was developed as a spiritual successor to The Simpsons: Road Rage and brought with it a ton of elements from the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) series of video games.

The Simpsons: Hit & Run was both critically and commercially successful, and is considered by many to be the best Simpsons tie in video game to date.

With a gap of over 20 years, weโ€™re yet to see any major Simpsons games to have been released. With the arrival of The Simpsons x Fortnite collab, and the development of a Simpsons Movie, things might be taking a turn for the better. However, only time will tell.
