The Game Awards 2025: Where to Watch and Expected Announcements

The Game Awards The Game Awards

Key Highlights:

  • The Game Awards 2025 begins on December 11, 2025 and will be broadcast across most major platforms.
  • Thereโ€™s a lot to look forward to from this yearโ€™s Game Awards, including Pragmata and Leon in Resident Evil 9.
  • Hopium has also been administered for a possible Half-Life 3 reveal.

As the year draws to a close, we have our usual dose of annual events, including The Game Awards, hosted by Geoff Keighley. Keighleyโ€™s program has grown exponentially in importance the past few years, overshadowing E3 entirely.

Other than the awards ceremony, TGA has always premiered upcoming releases, with quite a handful of them being first time world premieres as well. With The Game Awards 2025 on the horizon, now is a good time as any to take a guess at what might be next for the gaming industry and gamers in general.

Where to Watch the Game Awards 2025

The Game Awards 2025 will be held on December 11, 2025 at around 7:30 PM EST/5 PM PST/4:30 PM PST. Naturally, as time zones are a thing, expect there to be differing release timings, depending on your region and local time zone.

As for where to watch it, you can access TGA 2025 across most major platforms when the program goes live. It will be streamed on the official YouTube channel, Twitch as well as, for the first time ever, on Amazon Prime.

All Game Awards 2025 Expected Reveals

As with every year, The Game Awards brings with it a set of interesting reveals that give us a glimpse into what lies ahead in the future of gaming. These include world premieres, and a fresh set of rumors to go along with it.

Now, not every rumor is expected to hold up true, but there is a certain degree of amusement attached to predicting what the future holds.

Our rumor is two new remakes from Ubisoft, with the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake and Assassinโ€™s Creed: Black Flag Resynced. These should be both receiving a release date slated for Q1 2026.

Continuing onward with its newfound success with the remakes of Metal Gear Solid 3 and Silent Hill 2, Konami might be looking to reveal the very first trailer for the Silent Hill remake. It will be interesting to see how this all pans out given how much of a tonal shift going to full 3D from Silent Hill 1โ€™s 2.5D will be.

Capcom should also be set to release trailers for Pragmata and Onimusha, both of which are expected to get a final release date. Capcom is no doubt at their strongest right now, and will likely be revealing more gameplay footage of Resident Evil 9, with (hopefully) a reveal from none other than Leon S. Kennedy.

Thereโ€™s also the mysterious game Geoff Keighley seems to be teasing all the time on X. Itโ€™s a bit hard to speculate, given that we barely know anything about it.

Other than these, we have reveals for Exodus, a new Control game (Control: Resonant) and a rather quick PC port for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. Expect there to be more information handed out for FromSoftwareโ€™s upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, The Duskbloods as well.

We havenโ€™t addressed the rather large elephant in the room yet, Half-Life 3. With Half-Life 2โ€™s 20th anniversary being long past us in 2024, all hope for a sequel seemed lost, until a series of back to back rumors seemed to heavily indicate a reveal by the end of the year.

Thereโ€™s no better place to reveal a game than The Game Awards, and there is strong reason to suspect that Valve might have something special planned for us in Geoffโ€™s event. Or it could be hopium and despair once again, weโ€™ll have to wait and see.
