Sony recently announced the results of its PlayStation Partner Awards for 2025, with an emphasis on Japanese and Asian game developers this time around. The results were announced today, December 3, 2025 on the official PlayStation Blog.

Weโ€™ve had quite a few nominations across multiple categories this time around, and the grand list of winners are quite hard to skip out on, which is especially impressive given how competitive 2025 has been.

PS Partner Awards Winners You Should Definitely Try Out in 2025

The following games won the Grand Award for the PS Partner awards of 2025:

  • Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero
  • eFootball
  • Marvel Rivals
  • Monster Hunter Wilds
  • Zenless Zone Zero

Letโ€™s start with eFootball, which is Konamiโ€™s flagship soccer title, and has gained a ton of new recruits since FIFA and EA split apart. Itโ€™s a solid game that offers a ton of depth and is generally fun to play.

Marvel Rivals and Zenless Zone Zero are your typical, live service titles with an emphasis on exaggerated visuals and bombastic combat. Marvel Rivals in particular, is a rather fantastic game from Netease Games and perhaps one of the better superhero games weโ€™ve had from Marvel in years.

Rivals was also massively popular at launch, and while its numbers arenโ€™t particularly impressive today, it still remains a solid multiplayer PvP brawler overall.

On the other hand, Zenless Zone Zero isnโ€™t exactly a new release, but has grown by a substantial amount since its rather sparse release over a year ago. The game is entirely free to play in its nature, and offers a decent experience with stylish combat and visuals that would put many AAA efforts to shame.

It can also be considered as one of HoYoverseโ€™s more underrated titles.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero was a rather unexpected release for 2025, and quickly climbed on to become one of the best selling titles in the Budokai Tenkaichi series of video games. As the fourth main entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi franchise from Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco Entertainment, Sparking Zero is a fantastic entry that delivers on almost all fronts, and is a great throwback to the days of the OG Tenkaichi on the PlayStation 2.

We end the list with Monster Hunter Wilds, yet another masterpiece from Capcom. Set as the newest mainline Monster Hunter game, Wilds brought in quite a few changes to the franchise, streamlining things over and establishing the format for a modern Monster Hunter game.

Monster Hunter Wilds is a much more refined experience that shines best on the PlayStation 5, on account of its quite disastrous PC port, which runs abysmally poor. All things considered though, Wilds is a fantastic game that does not disappoint fans and newcomers alike.

We also had separate categories for a multitude of other awards, including those in Accessibility, Indie games and most importantly, a Usersโ€™ Choice Award.

Interestingly enough, it is only here where Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 gets any mention at all, as does the rather excellent Silent Hill f from a resurgent Konami, which does seem a bit puzzling.

Keeping expectations aside, game awards should be treated objectively and never as a final way to judge a gameโ€™s overall success and/or popularity. Remember, opinions differ, and only you can truly pick your own Game of the Year, whatever that game may be.
