Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show for 2025 is finally over, bringing with it a full suite of events for both the press and regular visitors alike. The event began on the 16th, extending for a total of 3 days up until the 19th, after which it was deemed closed.

As far as the contents of the show go, it featured (mostly) video game announcements for existing and upcoming titles, tech showcases from big players in the industry, and of course, a ton of showcases – including cosplays.

Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 – Day One

Unlike last year, this yearโ€™s Gamescom Asia took place in Thailand, and was a joint collaborative effort between itself and the Thailand Game Show. This extended the duration of the event, having it take place over a four day long period.

Day one began with an opening ceremony featuring Lars Janssen and Felix Falk, which was in turn followed by a series of speeches from various key figures in the industry.

Most notably, the Thailand Game Show 2025 included a speech from none other than Glenn Schofield, the creator of the Dead Space series of video games. Schofield encouraged developers to rebuild their footing in the industry, in light of recent challenges such as AI.

This was followed by a friendly banter between Alexander Karpazis (of Ubisoft Canada) and Gordon Van Dyke, where the duo detailed their plans for the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege.

The first day of the event was most focused on business attendees, with the second and third days offering a bit more exciting add ons.

Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 – Day Two

Day two of Gamescom Asia 2025 marked the opening of the general consumer area to the public, which started with a major opening ceremony. After the colorful showcase was over, gamers across the globe were treated to a series of showcases from big name publishers.

These included individual booths for Capcom, SEGA, PlayStation, Xbox and more. These booths (as expected) offered playable demos for upcoming releases, such as Resident Evil Requiem and Code Vein II.

We also saw the formidable HoYoverse make a major appearance on this day with a booth focused on its current, ongoing free to play titles, such as the likes of Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero.

Day two also had a few major announcements to go along with it, such as the introduction of a PvE mode for Marvel Rivals, known as โ€˜Marvel Zombiesโ€™. Glenn Schofield also received a Lifetime Achievement Award in light of his contributions to the industry, a well deserved award.

Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 – Day Three

The last and final day of the Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 was a far less star studded affair, and was mainly an extension of day two. In essence, the showcases and playable booths continued to be available for fans to try out, along with a few more special events.

Gamescom Asia 2025 ended with a cosplay competition, with a ton of participants to go along with it, across a wide range of categories. In the end though, Amazing Cakra won as the Best Team with a cosplay of Djeeta and Lucillus in Granbluie Fantasy, along with Theerawat Phanu as Harley Quinn from Batman: Arkham Knight.

With this, the official events drew to a close, and Gamescom Asia closed its shutters until next year.
