Fortnite is all set to release Season 7 very, very soon and has prepared a series of in game announcements and events to go along with it, including the much anticipated restoration of Fortnite’s OG game mode.

With all that in mind, here is what we know about Fortnite’s new additions, and of the OG game mode in particular.

Fortnite Returns to Its Roots With Season 7’s OG Mode

Fortnite recently unveiled the full details for Chapter 7, Season 1 of its ongoing live service game. As per the recently released X post, the following contents have been added to the game:

  • Polar Peak Map
  • Happy Hamlet Map
  • Frosty Flights Map
  • Suppressed Sniper Rifle
  • Scoped Revolver
  • Dual Pistols
  • Scoped AR
  • Balloons
  • Stink Bombs
  • Glider Redeploy
  • Boom Box
  • A new, updated map
  • Infinity Blade weapon
  • New Umbrellas for OG
  • The X-4 StormWing vehicle

OG Season 7’s Chapter 1 releases on December 11, 2025 across all supported platforms. This obviously also incudes the PC and consoles.

The most notable reveal of Season 7 though, is the arrival of elements from OG, which was a PvP game mode in Fortnite, being released in December 6, 2024. OG has since gained a fan following, and quickly grew to become one of the most popular game modes on offer.

However, Chapter 7, Season 1 brings with it a temporary closure of the OG game mode, likely since most of the event is themed around the same in the game.
