Titled the Crown Jam mode, this particular version takes direct inspiration from the hit Fall Guys video game, and we might have had some early information slip up ahead of time.

As seen in a reel from IGN, Fortnite is all set to receive its Fall Guys inspired ‘Crown Jam’ game mode very soon. The video was likely pushed ahead of schedule, as we don’t have any official word from Epic Games themselves just yet.
That being said, we are very likely to see official confirmation soon, hopefully some time later today.
Going back to the game mode, it appears to be using the Fall Guys bean costumes, but with a twist. Instead of racing through impossible obstacle courses, players will have to participate in a 3v3 limited time mode that has you essentially drag the ball to the goalpost.

It’s a weird combination of basketball and football, and also brings the floaty physics of Fall Guys along with it. There’s a total of six Crown Jam clubs, and you’ll be randomly placed in any one of them.
Players can also build ‘Hype’ by performing insane acts to gain fun and quirky new abilities, which keeps the experience a bit more refreshing.
The game mode is limited time only though, and will be available to play until February 9, 2026. Playing through the event is also encouraged, since you will be unlocking a bunch of freebies in the process (such as cosmetics).
What Is Fall Guys?
Also previously known as Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, Fall Guys is a free to play battle royale styled party game. Players join in massive lobbies, and take control of a jellybean like character.
The game is inspired by shows like Takeshi’s Castle and features similar elements, with just the right amount of tweaked, floaty physics to make it all the more chaotic and fun to play.
It’s definitely better played with friends, and voice chat goes a long way.
In terms of gameplay, players have to basically race to the finish line and avoid being hit by the obstacles along the way. There’s a ton of variety here, along with quite a few stages to progress through.
Fall Guys has also been updated to have a bunch of newer game modes such as Survival, Logic and Team. As of 2026, Fall Guys supports cross platform gameplay and cross progression, being available on the PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile (Android, iOS) platforms.
Epic Games owns both Fortnite and Fall Guys, and a crossover was pretty much guaranteed. Fall Guys has some rather deep integration with Fortnite, including the presence of specialized, Bean shaped versions of existing skins (as well as the Default Bean).
While in the Bean Form, players will experience strange mannerisms, such as being subjected to lowered gravity. This pairs rather well with the Fortnite Creative mode, which allows players to build their own courses.
