China may have set its sights on an unlikely candidate in the global gaming scene Muskโs 7-year-old half-brother, Elliot Rush. According to Errol Musk, the father of both Elon and Elliot, Chinese officials are keen to recruit the young prodigy for gaming tournaments, believing him to be a rising star in the industry.
Chinaโs Alleged Recruitment of Elliot Rush
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Errol Musk, 79, made the shocking claim that a Chinese businessman recently visited his South African ranch with interest in his youngest son, Elliot Rush. The businessman allegedly conveyed Chinaโs belief that Rush is a โprolific gamerโ and a future champion.
โThey say he will be the biggest thing in China. They say heโs a prolific gamer and heโs a champion,โ Errol stated.
The legitimacy of these claims remains unverified, and there is no official confirmation from Chinese authorities regarding their interest in the young gamer. However, if true, the move could signal Chinaโs continued investment in competitive gaming and esports dominance.
Who is Elliot Rush?
Elliot Rush, often referred to as โRushie,โ is the son of Errol Musk and Jana Bezuidenhout, Errolโs former stepdaughter-turned-girlfriend. Jana, now 38, is the daughter of Heide Bezuidenhout, Errolโs second wife. The relationship between Errol and Jana sparked controversy when they had a child together in 2017, as Errol had helped raise her since she was four years old.
Errolโs latest revelation has added yet another twist to the Musk familyโs already complex narrative. While the idea of a 7-year-old being recruited for gaming tournaments might seem far-fetched, China is aggressively pushing for esports talent.
