Key Highlights:
- December 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting month for PC, console and mobile gamers alike.
- From Red Dead Redemption to the likes of Metroid Prime 4, this month has no shortage of heavy hitters.
- The list could potentially increase with the start of TGA 2025.
December 2025 is shaping up to be yet another jam packed set of releases in the mobile gaming space, with a few AAA PC-quality titles thrown into the mix. This also happens to include your usual PC and console games as well, of which there are quite a few slated for release this month.
With all that in mind, here are five of the best games to watch out for this month, in no particular order.
5 Games You Should Look Out for in December 2025
1. Red Dead Redemption Mobile (Android, iOS) (Out now)

Red Dead Redemption isnโt a new game in this list, but this monthโs release brings the beloved single player action adventure title to mobile devices for the first time ever. This is in the form of dedicated ports for both Android and iOS, being brought courtesy of Netflix.
RDR is one of the best games to have ever been released by Rockstar Games, and having access to the game on mobiles makes for a rather unique, portable experience like no other.
2. Marvelโs Cosmic Invasion (PC, PS4, PS5, Switch 1 + 2, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S) (Out now)

Marvelโs Cosmic Invasion is a fantastic beam em up side scroller, and comes with exquisite retro pixel graphics (as seen in arcades of the day). The game looks to be quite exciting, and is a real treat, and a blast from the past.
Cosmic Invasion will be available on virtually all supported modern platforms, including the Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 at a rather discounted launch price, making it worthwhile.
3. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (Nintendo Switch 1 + 2) (December 4, 2025)

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is the tenth mainline installment in the Metroid series of action adventure video games, published by Nintendo for the Switch 1 and Switch 2 systems. This exclusive feels like a direct sequel to the likes of Metroid Prime, with an emphasis on 3D environments (as opposed to the 2.5D seen in other entries) and first person gameplay.

Itโs also been a long 8 years since its initial announcement at E3 2017, making this game one of the most anticipated titles yet for Nintendo fans.
4. Destiny 2 Renegades (PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC) (December 2, 2025)

Destiny 2 Renegades is the new expansion for the ongoing Destiny 2 live service title by Bungie, who were otherwise known for their work in establishing the Halo series with Microsoft, back in the day.
Renegades is designed as a full fledged, feature complete expansion that draws in a ton of inspiration from the Star Wars series of games and media, and Bungie seems to be finally delivering where it counts, for the most part.
5. Routine (Xbox Series X/S, PC) (December 4, 2025)

Routine is shaping up to be quite an exciting little horror title for indie game fans, and has you explore an abandoned Lunar base, with a heavy emphasis on survival horror and the retro futuristic vibe of the 80s and 90s.
Designated as a sci-fi horror game not unlike Dead Space, the game has you navigate through hostile, mechanical abominations as you fight for survival in what is expected to be a brutal walkthrough with no waypoint markers to speak of.
This wraps it up for the best games to look forward to in December 2025. Do note that this list is opinionated, and there are far too many good games to put onto this list. That being said, with The Game Awards airing on December 11, 2025 we might be set to get a few surprise day one reveals.
