The fourth season of Counter Strike 2 is currently underway, and promises a series of big changes to the overall format, including the addition of new community content. Valve’s flagship first person shooter title has seen quite an evolution in the past few years, initially starting out as Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO).
Season 4 also brings a few tweaks to gameplay, along with a plethora of bug fixes. With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know about the update.
Counter Strike 2 Season 4 Update and Bug Fixes
The following noteworthy changes have been incorporated into the current build of the game, as part of a mandatory update:
- Train has been removed from the Active Duty Map pool, while Anubis has been added instead.
- MP7 and MP5-SD have a reduced price, on top of slightly increased damage output.
- The PP-Bizon has its price reduced by $100.
- Per map competitive matchmaking rank values have been adjusted.
- Jumping and landing no longer affect stamina. It is also possible to enable legacy jump behavior on private servers.
- Audio output latency has been reduced, and the fidelity of knife draw and inspect sounds has been boosted.
- The Harlequin and Achroma have been added to the Weekly Care Package.
- The Safehouse, Dust 2, 2018 Nuke Collection and 2018 Inferno Collection have had their weapon collections from the Weekly Care Package drop list removed.
- Removed the community maps of Golden, Palacio, Agency and Rooftop.
- Added new community maps such as Warden, Stronghold and Alpine to Competitive, Casual and Deathmatch modes.
- Sanctum and Poseidon have been added to Wingman mode as new maps.
