- Lego 2K Drive getting delisted and closing down its servers.
- Why is this game suddenly getting delisted out of nowhere.
- Lego equivalent to Forza horizon series.
If you are someone who wanna experience the Forza Horizon like feel but with the graphics and style of Legos then Lego 2K Drive may just be for you. But you must hurry as you may not be able to play it soon.
Lego’s Version Of Forza Horizon
Lego 2K Drive was developed by Visual Concepts as an attempt to make its own Forza-like open-world racing game. It was released just three years ago, but never quite found the same success as Xbox’s flagship series. In comparison to Forza Horizon 6’s day-one player count, it peaked at just 1,039 on PC in its lifetime. This is despite it having some nifty features, including the ability to build your own vehicles from scratch.

This does not take console player numbers into account, Lego 2K Drive launched on all major consoles, including Nintendo Switch. But with such a big brand behind it in the form of Lego, it is hard to see a the game fail, but yet it will be delisted entirely after only three years.
Now that Forza Horizon 6 is performing spectacularly well, with over 170,000 concurrent players on Steam alone, and since the game is still only available for premium edition players, that’s seriously impressive. Unfortunately, it is good bye for another open world racing game that once tried to ride alongside the series: Lego 2K Drive is shutting down.
Lego 2K Drive Going Away Forever
Lego’s Forza Horizon competitor will be removed from storefronts on Tuesday, 19 May 2026, according to the game’s Steam page. Additionally, on 31 May 2027, the game’s online servers will be shut down. Xbox store page now includes a disclaimer about LEGO 2K Drive being delisted and its online functionality disappearing on May 31, 2027.

“This product will no longer be available for purchase as of 05/19/2026″ is what the game’s description on the Xbox store and Steam now begins with. “All multiplayer servers for LEGO 2K Drive will be shutdown as of 05/31/2027. After that time, all game functions requiring online servers will no longer function.”
But Why Suddenly Out Of Nowhere Its Getting Delisted
Why Lego 2K Drive is being delisted, though Visual Concepts have yet to make an official statement on the delisting, it’s suspected that it is being taken off digital storefronts due to a licensing agreement expiring, since its delisting date, May 19 2026, is exactly three years after its launch date of May 19 2023.

Leading into LEGO 2K Drive’s launch, when players first got the chance to try it in a hands on, it didn’t seem too flashy or ground breaking game, but that Visual Concepts had something good on their hands, saying that it “may not break new ground in any one area, but Visual Concepts has managed to combine a surprisingly solid kart racer, an enticing open world, and versatile building tools into one package, which is no small feat.” By the time it launched a few months later, that was still largely true, though the microtransactions that plagued it brought the whole vibe of the game down considerably.
Wrapping Up
Whether 2Kโs next move on the LEGO partnership materializes anytime soon remains to be seen, but for now, anyone interested in LEGO 2K Drive has a narrow window to pick it up before May 19. Just know that what you will be left with after May 31, 2027 is a single player experience and not much else.
