The Steam Awards of 2025 is currently live, and has you cast your vote across a multitude of categories, including the coveted Game of the Year award. You can find more on the event, and how to cast your votes (including a breakdown of the process) below.
With the year drawing to a close, we have various Game of the Year nominations being revealed in due process. Every major publishing platform has their own Game Awards, and Steam is no different in this manner.
How to Vote in the Steam Awards 2025
You can access the Steam Awards 2025 voting page by clicking on this particular link. Assuming that the link doesn’t open, try waiting a bit a refreshing the page to see if it works now. It is a pretty popular event, so expect there to be some degree of downtime involved.
That being said, here’s how to vote:
- Head on over to the URL mentioned earlier.
- There will be a total of 11 nominees in the list.
- Go over each nominee, and press the ‘Choose Your Nominee’ button once you’re ready to proceed.
- You should see two rows per category. The first row is for the games you have personally played this year, while the second row is for more popular, mainstream titles of 2025. You can also choose any game you wish from the ‘Search for a specific eligible game’ text field box.
- Select your game(s) of choice, and proceed down the list.
Complete all eleven nominations to finish the voting process.

- Best Game on Steam Deck
- Most Innovative Gameplay
- Best Game You Suck At

- Sit Back and Relax
You can only choose one entry per nomination, so make sure to be careful while slotting in your entries. You’ll also have access to the following quests, which can be used to progress through the Steam Awards Nomination Committee Badge:
- Nominate at least one game
- Nominate a game for each category
- Play any game you have personally nominated
- Review any game you have personally nominated, or update the review to reflect changes in 2025.
Steam Awards 2025: Who Should You Pick?
In a nutshell, pick whichever game you can resonate the best with. As is the case with every game award ceremony, a lot of this boils down to personal choice, so feel free to choose whatever game you actually enjoyed in 2025.
While you can most certainly vote for older titles, it does feel a bit disingenuous to include games that have been released before 2025 into the list. This might be worth keeping in mind before you proceed.
There are a ton of categories to vote for as well, and realistically speaking, you might not have enough experience playing all of them. In that case, it might be better to make a rough estimation, or even skip voting for that section entirely.

Remember, your votes will decide the outcome, so make sure to participate. 2025 has been an exceptional year for gaming all around, and competition is stiff, especially in the PC space.
We’ll have to wait until January 3, 2025 at around 10 AM Pacific Time for the event’s winners to be declared. Until then, make sure to cast your vote before December 1, 2025 (which is when the voting phase ends)
