That is Pokemon GO features three different teams which players can join: Team Instinct, Team Valor, and Team Mystic. While choosing a team doesn’t have drastic consequences on the core elements of the game, it does impact the colors of the various gyms that players can take over and depending on where you play from this can change the game a little bit based on what team other players from that area are of can help with finding gyms easy or not, while also having a different leader comment on the Pokemon appraisal process.

Each Pokemon GO team is intentionally different from one another, choosing to focus on different aspects of the game, Niantic is once again placing them in the spotlight with a series of new limited time quests.
