The long awaited sequel from Team Cherry broke Steam and every other digital storefront on launch, ignited furious debates about difficulty, and won near-unanimous critical acclaim. The game was nominated for countless awards, and won more than its fair share at the Golden Joysticks, The Game Awards, The Steam Awards, and plenty more.
Where These Leaks Are Coming From For Hallow Knight: Silksong?
A known leaker with a proven track record has confirmed the release date for a physical edition of Hollow Knight: Silksong , as well as everything included and the pricing on the platform. Apparently, this physical edition will also see a physical re-release of Hollow Knight happen as well, and for diehard Hollow Knight: Silksong fans, both would certainly be good for the physical game collection.
Billbil-kun, a PlayStation Plus and retail leaker with a perfect track record has leaked the anticipated physical edition of Hollow Knight: Silksong. The new release is set to launch October 16, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The Switch 2 version will contain the free next-gen upgrade, but will apparently include the full game cartridge for the original Nintendo Switch version.
What The Each Release Contain And The Prices For Different Consoles
This physical release is also set to contain a disc/cartridge containing the game across all versions, which is not something you’d think we have to specify, but it’s become increasingly common for physical releases to come with a code in the box. You can also expect a 32-page manual, a map of Pharloom, and a price point of $39.99 for PlayStation and Xbox versions. Nintendo Switch gamers will have to pay a little bit more, at $44.99. Distribution of the physical release is to be handled by Fangamer, which took charge of the first physical release for the original Hollow Knight.
Collectors will be glad to know that’s not all. The first Hollow Knight is getting a physical re-release on the same day, but will only be available for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Again, however, the Switch 2 version will be compatible with Nintendo Switch still being Nintendo Switch 1 compatible. It includes the following:

- Price: $34.99 for PS5, $39.99 for Nintendo Switch 2

Hollow Knight: Silksong is, with the game being nominated for and winning several awards at The Golden Joystick Awards, The Game Awards, The Steam Awards, the Ultra Game Awards, the 15th New York Game Awards, the Annual D.I.C.E. Awards, the Game Developers Choice Awards, and the British Academy Games Awards. Hollow Knight: Silksong reviews also ended up with a 90-94 Metascores across various platforms, with 97% of critics recommending it and a top critic average of 91.
Billbil-kun also notes that all of this is accurate for the United States but remains uncertain if it’ll happen in Europe. As it stands, they believe it will because of Fangamer’s involvement there, but they cannot confirm that at this time. Neither can Billbil-kun confirm the announcement of this physical release. They cross into speculation here, but believe that the physical release could be announced as part of the upcoming Summer Game Fest event, where they also think a proper reveal for the Sea of Sorrow DLC could take place.
