Riot Games has officially dropped the VALORANT Champions 2026 anthem, “IF THE SUN BURNS OUT TONIGHT”, just before the Champions tournament starts off in Shanghai. This new track features a collaboration between Grabbitz, Bring Me The Horizon’s frontman Oli Sykes, and Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante, blending electronic elements with heavier rock and metal. The anthem launched on September 16, while the Champions tournament is scheduled to begin on September 24.
Along with the song, Riot released a music video that gives fans an early peek at the upcoming Champions 2026 bundle. The video showcases the Phantom skin and spotlights various VALORANT agents and pro players. While Riot did not share full details or official pricing according to the article, the bundle should land in the in-game shop around when patch 13.06 goes live.
Grabbitz, Oli Sykes and Courtney LaPlante on the Anthem
“IF THE SUN BURNS OUT TONIGHT” marks Grabbitz’s fourth time working on a VALORANT Champions anthem. His previous songs include “Die For You”, “Fire Again”, and “Ticking Away”. This time, he has teamed up with Oli Sykes and Courtney LaPlante.

For Sykes, this is his first collaboration tied directly to esports, although he previously worked with Kojima Productions on “Ludens”, which is a track created for Death Stranding in 2019. LaPlante is not new to Riot projects either, she is the voice behind the 2XKO official cinematic theme, “Ties That Bind”.
The track fuses Grabbitz’s electronic style with the harder edge of Bring Me The Horizon and Spiritbox. Grabbitz called the collaboration exciting, highlighting how each artist brought something unique to the mix.
The song is already streaming on all major platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, and YouTube Music. Like earlier Champions anthems, it is also expected to be performed live during the Grand Finals Opening Ceremony.
Music Video Connects VALORANT Lore With Champions
The music video puts a strong focus on VALORANT’s lore, focusing on key characters and their latest storylines. One highlight is the showdown between Sage and Viper, two agents who have become central to the game’s ongoing story. Sage, who comes from China, faces off with Viper, the American agent.
Omen and Sage team up again in the video, building on their partnership first seen in the Episode 6: Revelation cinematic. The video ties into past VALORANT story content rather than focusing only on the tournament.
We also see real pro VALORANT players in the video. Returning players featured include Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang, Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto, Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov and Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk. Verify which Champions year they are veterans of and whether that event was in Shanghai.
Champions 2026 Bundle Gets Its First Look
The music video offers the first glimpse of this year’s Champion’s bundle, confirming the Phantom as a part of the collection. Ann Donlon, Head of VALORANT Studios, has also teased a special fan melee.
The bundle is expected to carry Champions-themed visuals, as in previous years. Riot says that a share of sales from these skins will support VCT partner teams.
According to available information, the bundle should appear in the in-game store in the next few days, right around VALORANT patch 13.06. It will be available for a limited time and will not return through the regular shop or Night Market.
Champions 2026 starts off in Shanghai on September 24, bringing the new anthem and exclusive bundle directly alongside the start of one of VALORANT’s biggest competitive events of the year.
