- Rayman Origins leaks appeared online.
- What platforms we may see the game release on.
- Why many fans may be disappointed with what is about to come from Ubisoft.
Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition has leaked online on the Xbox Store. The newly revealed remaster will bring players back to Rayman Origins, which originally released way back in 2011.
The Rayman series has been making something of a comeback recently, with the first game in the series returning by way of the Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition. Fans of the largely dormant franchise were excited when the Rayman Twitter account suddenly came back to life after four years of silence, and it now seems like that move was made in order to build hype prior to announcing the Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition, and now, Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition.
Rayman Origins Returns
It seems that a redux of Rayman Origins is right around the corner, as the Xbox Store accidentally leaked the existence of Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition. According to the store listing, which has since been taken down, this version of Rayman Origins will be the “definitive experience” and will allow players to revisit Rayman in 4K resolution with 60FPS, with added quality of life features.

Players will likely also be pleased to know that the redux will bring back couch co-op, with up to four players participating. The rest of the experience that Rayman Origins players have come to love, including 60 unique levels and their collectibles will all be present. From the sound of the game’s description, there won’t be any new content added to the game.
What Platforms We Might See The Rayman Origins Release On?

At the moment, it’s not known what platforms Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition will be available on beyond Xbox. Looking to the release of Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition may provide clues, however. That redux arrived on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC, and it’s highly likely that Ubisoft will release Rayman: Origins Enhanced Edition for the same platforms. However, fans may want to wait for the official announcement to be sure.

Many Fans Maybe Get Disappointed From What May Come
While Rayman fans will likely be happy to gain access to a refreshed version of Rayman: Origins on modern-day gaming platforms, many will likely be disappointed that only reduxes of existing titles have been announced by Ubisoft. However, it’s possible that Ubisoft may be testing the waters to see if there’s enough interest from gamers to justify making a new game in the series. It’s also possible that Rayman 2 and Rayman 3 may end up joining the list of reduxed Rayman games later on, as the trademark for Rayman 3 was renewed back in 2025.

Long-time fans of the franchise will recall that Rayman 4 was canceled back in 2005. The game was being developed by Phoenix Studio, which shut down a few years later in 2009. The prototype game never saw the light of day officially, but leaks back in 2022 dumped Rayman 4‘s source code and developer tools onto the internet, giving players a glimpse of what could have been. The last new entry to Rayman was Rayman Legends in 2013, with Ubisoft largely focusing on the Rabbids spin-off games rather than the core franchise. With any luck for fans of Rayman, Ubisoft will see sales success with these remasters and release a brand-new game down the line.
