The Flashpoint update just dropped and everybody’s been talking about the Vaporizers and new weapons. But the update actually quietly changed the world map, too. This is Embark’s first real breadcrumb for the April Riven’s Tide update.
New Arc Raisers Map
As we already know some things from Embark’s ARC Raiders Roadmap: January – April 2026, of which we are 3/4th way on closing in to the end of the road map with the latest being the Flash Point Update. We can finally jump to what April is actually going to include, we can see in the road map at very top saying a new map, a new large arc (which is currently being rumoured being a boss tier arc, similar to the Queen or Matriarch).
We are also getting a brand new map condition and expedition window. and of course all if that has been confirmed so far. But here is now where we get into the actual breadcrumbs Embark has been dropping with the recent updates.
Teasers For New Map Theme
With the new Flashpoint update pretty much nearly everything looks the same in main world map, except the bottom left section where now you new items, notes and even photos suddenly appears on the board.
Now to break it down a bit we can see:
- Firstly the photo that draws attention looks like a destroyed sea wall with waves crashing over it indicating a coastal map for the next update.
There have been ton of teaser images for what the new map will look like:
- Second the note on the side says ”HOTEL IS BEACH FRONT???” and on the right a note in Italian with the same translation, which kind of ties well with the Arc Raiders lore as the game is technically located in Italy.
- Third the burned ”DO NOT DISTURB” hanger that brings in all things together referencing a ruined beachfront hotel zone.
- Lastly the hotel room key with the number ”9”, with red thread connecting all the clues together.
What you may want to stockpiling for the update
Flashpoint just quietly exposed where Riven Tides is happening, not official just through teases and hints. this is Embark’s disruptive structural patch to system level shake to close scrutiny, spawns, loot density and pressure levels. as players were defeating the Arcs way to easily and Embark really wanted to challenge the players with Flash point being a structural setup for Riven Tides where it seems to be aimed at breaking veteran players, by raising the danger for old players and not just adding new content alone
Now to prepare for Riven Tides so that when the update do release you are all geared up and ready to go. as the hints suggest that it’s by Volcano Rise, given a few other factors this is going to be an extremely challenging location.
based on the coastal open lane expectation so far, stockpiling long range rifles and ARs that you can seem a good option for any water crossing fights. definitely should be levelling mobility tools, as there might be a lot of sightline control in this map. Zip lines, Covers, Smokes are essential in any exposed bridges or flooded checkpoints, so you can get to safety quicker and not get caught in open area.
