The Game Awards 2025 kicked off today, December 12, 2025 to much fanfare across the globe. We had a number of nominations, of which Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 managed to sweep through to get 9 trophies, the highest ever at TGA.

Award ceremony aside, TGA is also a place to showcase new and upcoming games for 2026 and beyond, and weโ€™ve had quite a few bombastic reveals, of which we will be listing the best of below.

All Major Reveals At The Game Awards 2025

The 2025 Game Awards was over three and a half hours long, and had a ton of surprise reveals. We began with a showcase for The Free Shepherd, an adorable indie title where you play as a dog guiding a flock of sheep.

This was followed by trailers for Decrepit (a souls-like first person horror game) and Audio Mech (an OSU like rhythm platformer) and Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity.

The rest of the pre game show was also pretty star studded, with Capcomโ€™s Pragmata getting a new trailer and a final release date of April 24, 2026 with a demo on Steam to go along with it.

The pre game show ended with reveals for Solasta II and Tankrat, an interesting tank building action combat game.

Of note here was our first look at Bradley the Badger, a hybrid between Bloodborne, Conkerโ€™s Bad Fur Day and a few more inspirational titles along the way.

Star Wars also had a few appearances at this yearโ€™s Game Awards, with two mainline titles being announced – Star Wars: Fate of The Old Republic and Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a racing game.

Geoff Keighley did finally lay all suspicions to rest though, when Larian Studiosโ€™ upcoming game, Divinity: The Hellstone was revealed as being the mystery game as represented by the ominous statue. Itโ€™s also expected to be their biggest RPG yet.

Co-op game appreciators had titles like Fail To Save The World to look forward to. This was followed by a bunch of PlayStation and PC specific titles, such as Coven of the Chicken Foot, and Ontos, a new game from the creators of SOMA.

Nintendo also made a few surprise reveals, including reveals for upcoming ports to their Switch 2 system (such as Final Fantasy Remake Integrade) and a trailer for the Super Mario Galaxy movie.

It was undoubtedly Capcomโ€™s finest moment at TGA though, with the reveal of a much older Leon S. Kennedy as the second playable character for Resident Evil 9: Requiem, after quite a few leaks, releasing on February 26, 2025.

This was followed by a healthy serving of indie hits such as Order of the Sinking Star, and a much anticipated reveal trailer for exodus, a sci-fi action game releasing in early 2027, along with a last minute reveal for Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons, Animo and Invincible VS.

As we approached the end of the TGA, the releases ramped up and we were treated to multiple trailers such as Control: Resonant, and a brand new title from Nagoshi Studio, titled Gang of Dragon, possessing very similar vibes to the Yakuza: Like A Dragon series.

This was followed by not one but two Tomb Raider game announcements, with a return to the roots of the franchise. The two games are titled Catalyst and Legacy of Atlantis.

Blizzard also made an appearance with Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred, scheduled for April, 2026, as did The Lords of The Fallen 2 (along with a title update for the first game as well).

Mobile games were up next, with an open beta being announced for Rust Mobile, and Wuthering Waves winning the playerโ€™s choice. The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin was also announced.

We ended TGA 2025 with a few additional last minute reveals, including a sci-fi action horror game named Saros, which draws in a ton of inspiration from Returnal. Creative Assembly unveiled a new Warhammer game set in the distant future, titled Total War Warhammer 40,000.

Other notable reveals was a new Ace Combat game (Wings of Theve), Out of Words (an indie title much like It Takes Two) a release date trailer for PlayStationโ€™s Phantom Blade Zero (releasing in September 2026) and Nioh 3.

The final, ultimate reveal was Highguard, a brand new free to play hero shooter from the team behind Apex Legends and Titanfall, releasing on January 26, 2026.
