Extraction shooters are known for being brutal, but the Arc Raiders community is looking for a more heroic way to survive the raids in game. As of now, whenever a teammate is knocked down, players are left with very limited choices to deal with it. Often at times, standing out in the wide open in attempts to revive a fallen friend often means getting shot by Arcs or enemy squads. Because of this players are asking for a major gameplay change.

They are requesting for a new mechanic, one that lets them physically pick up and carry their fallen teammates out of the line of fire. This fan-requested feature is quickly becoming one of the most talked about ideas for the game’s future. The community believes that adding a โ€œbody-transportโ€ or โ€œshoulder carryโ€ mechanic will completely change how players plan their movements and plan their extractions. By giving players a way to carry their allies to safety, the game could find a perfect balance between new tactical ways to play and even some funny moments with randoms and enemy players.

Why Carrying Downed Players Makes Sense in Arc Raiders

The main reason fans are requesting this feature is to fix the punishing nature of open-field revives. Currently, a downed player can only crawl at a very slow pace while their squad tries to protect them or use bandages to pause their bleed-out timer. If players could carry bodies, it would open up a whole new layer of strategy. A player could lift their downed friend, carry them behind a solid wall or into a dark building, and bring them back to safety.

This change would turn every rescue mission into a high-stakes tactical choice. The player carrying the body would likely move slower and be unable to hold a large rifle. This forces the rest of the squad to form a protective wall of gunfire around them. It rewards teams that talk to each other and coordinate their movements during the heat of battle. Instead of a teammate’s mistake being an instant death for the whole group, it creates an exciting dynamic, giving them a chance for a getaway.

Interestingly, this feature isn’t just about helping your own team. The ARC Raiders community has a surprisingly friendly side, and many players love helping out lonely solo players they find on the map. Right now, if you find a downed stranger but do not have a defibrillator tool, you cannot do much to save them. Being able to carry a stranger’s body would allow players to carry a helpless solo player all the way to an elevator or extraction hatch, turning random encounters into incredible stories of survival. It rewards player kindness in a way that is normally known for backstabbing.

The Downsides Of Carrying Teammates, Kidnapping Enemies and Cliff Trolling in Arc Raiders

While the tactical benefits of moving a body are clear, the community is also having plenty of fun imagining the chaotic side of this feature. In the comments of the Reddit post, players quickly pointed out that a carry mechanic would lead to total madness. Joking about knocking out enemy players and kidnapping them by running away with them over their shoulder. With potential for trolling, like picking up a downed teammate and tossing them right off the edge of a high cliff just for laughs.

However, many gamers argue that these hilarious and toxic risks are exactly what makes multiplayer games fun and memorable. To keep things fair, players have suggested adding special rules, like a major speed penalty while carrying someone, or giving the downed player a “surrender” button so they can escape a toxic kidnapper. Whether to save a player or troll someone, a carry feature would undoubtedly make the game feel much more alive.
