When Will The Game Officially Be Released
Publisher Team17 and developer Expression Games has announced that Hell Let Loose: Vietnam will officially arrive on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S next month on June 18, 2026. The release date was revealed alongside a brand new gameplay trailer, showing off more of the high-intensity tactical action players can expect when it arrives next month.
The gameplay trailer shows off the all-terrain battles players can expect, with engagements spreading across naval, land, and air combat, all against the backdrop of Vietnam’s tropical jungle. Of course, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam keeps the squad-focused strategic combat that made players fall in love with the first game, and its massive 50v50 player battles.
Standard and Deluxe Edition Pricing For The Game
The game is already available to pre-order, with the standard edition going for $39.99 / โฌ39.99 / ยฃ34.99 and the deluxe edition going for $59.99 / โฌ59.99 / ยฃ54.99. Pre-ordering either version gets you a US Army boat crew uniform, and the deluxe addition adds a few more cosmetics, like the NVA boat crew uniform, ANZAC and NVA uniform pack, and the Green Berets and Navy SEALs uniform pack.

New Way To Experience Shooter Games At A Larger Scale
Set during the Vietnam War, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam expands the franchiseโs focus on realism and teamwork-driven combat. Matches pit 100 players in 50-versus-50 battles that emphasize communication, coordination, and long-form tactical decision-making. Players will fight across six Vietnam-inspired maps featuring dense jungles, river systems, and open terrain, each designed to support different tactical approaches and squad strategies.

- Helicopters, Boats, and Tactical Mobility- The game introduces expanded combined-arms gameplay, including fully functional helicopters used for troop transport, supply drops, reconnaissance, and aerial support. Players can also operate heavily armed patrol boats, including the iconic U.S. PBR, enabling naval combat along river routes and coastal areas. These systems are designed to reinforce strategic mobility and team coordination across massive battlefield spaces.
- Tunnel Warfare and Dynamic Strategy- One of the key asymmetrical mechanics comes from the North Vietnamese forces, who can construct underground tunnel networks. These tunnels allow for surprise flanking routes, hidden movement, and rapid repositioning across the map. Combined with aerial reconnaissance and ground coordination, these mechanics create a constantly shifting battlefield where control of territory can change quickly.
Wrapping Up
The battles of the Vietnam War are defined by the differences between its combatants. As the United States pushed into the country’s unfamiliar, sweaty jungles with heavy arms and air support, the NVA struck back with calculated guerilla tactics, using familiarity to fight firepower. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam doesn’t shy from the inherent challenge of this imbalance, and it turns what was already one of the most vicious and team-driven modern multiplayer shooters into a whole new experience.
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam was first revealed last year during Gamescom 2025, and arrives seven years after the early access release date of the first game, which first arrived all the way back in 2019. The two years spent in early access on the first game, and the five years since its 1.0 launch have clearly taught developer Expression Games a lot as Hell Let Loose: Vietnam isn’t launching into early access but is instead going straight into 1.0. Hopefully, it’ll arrive without any major issues.
