- Former Rockstar Dev says will likely borrow ideas from red dead redemption 2
- Rumours of a 3rd trailer for GTA in April
- GTA 6 budget maybe well over $2 billion at this point
GTA 6 has seen a long journey since its initial announcement for the release on December 4th 2023, with a subsequent planned release in 2025 to being delayed to multiple times now. The current planned release date is November 19th 2026, although rumours are that it once again might delay to 2027. That being said, players have been waiting for over a decade now to play a new GTA title since the launch of GTA V in 2013.
GTA 6 Will Likely Borrow Idea From Red Dead Redemption 2, Says Former Rockstar Dev
A former Rockstar Games developer has said they would be shocked if GTA 6 does not borrow some ideas from the studio’s previous game, Red Dead Redemption 2. Appearing on the Kiwi Talkz podcast, former audio designer Rob Carr, who worked on GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2- says his evidence is that Rockstar already did this.
Rob Carr, the Former Audio Designer at Rockstar left halfway through RDR2 for family reasons, Rockstar were ramping up production which would require Rob spending more time working on the game and away from his family, which he no longer wanted to do.

GTA 5, for example, borrowed the Dead Eye system from the original Red Dead, Carr said. ”They used the Dead Eye as one of the perks for one of the characters. You’ve got the Dead Eye thing that Michael used, I think you’ve got the slow-motion driving thing for Franklin, and the basically berserker mode for Trevor,” Carr said. Carr went on to day that Rockstar is know to ”expand upon” some of the ”key things” from previous games in their next games, and that should happen again with GTA 6.

”I’ll be surprised if they don’t use something from Red Dead Redemption 2,” he said. However, Carr did not share any specifics on which elements of Red Dead Redemption 2 he thinks will come to GTA 6 in one way or another.
GTA 6 launches on November 19, following delays from fall 2025 and then from May 2026 to its new date in November this year. Rockstar’s marketing efforts for GTA 6 will begin this summer.

GTA 6 3rd Trailer, When?
Hearing we might see something GTA 6 related in April ๐
— GameRiot (@GameRiot) March 13, 2026
There has been rumours with in the community that trailer 3 is going to be coming out in April. though this mainly comes out of boredom but we did get Game Riot a Youtuber, who said that they’re hearing we might get something GTA 6 related in April. But sort of contradicting this, Tom Henderson, on the other hand said that he doesn’t think we are going to get anything until August for GTA 6.
Tom Henderson still predicts GTA 6 Trailer 3 will drop before the Take Two Interactive earnings call in August.

I know a lot of people are expecting it before the call in Mayโฆ
I genuinely think when Rockstar say summer they mean peak summer.
We will have to wait and see. pic.twitter.com/AuZlNHhAwr
Fans are making their own bizarre predictions saying Red Dead 2 came out in October, GTA 5 came out in September. One such speculation includes that both games came out at the end of the year, and their 3rd trailers i.e. GTA 5 trailer 3 coming out on April 30th 2013, Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer 3 coming out on May 2nd 2018. So fans speculate as Rockstar released trailer 2 for GTA 6 at the start of May last year, they might follow the same pattern by releasing the trailer 3 by end of April or start of May.
GTA 6 Will Costs $3 Billion?
GTA 6’s budget has been a really hot topic for couple years now. with mostly everyone knowing the estimated that GTA 6 if going to cost $2 billions to make, some saying it will only cost $1 billion to make but now over the past few weeks, discussion has sort of taken off with people now predicting that it’s going to cost over $3 billion.

Mainly being Reece aka Kiwi Talkz on X, Reece interviews a lot of game developers including former Rockstar developers like Rob Carr and more. And Reece came out to say ”The budget for GTA 6 looks like it will be $3 billion dollars once its all said and done. I have been saying for ages that it will take other developers 15-20 years to match what Rockstar is doing with GTA 6. I wasn’t exaggerating, some of the stuff they have planned is crazy ambitious. Come November you will see where all the money went”.
