After multiple AAA video game releases like Marathon, Pokemon Pokopia, and Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, this month has even more treat for gamers with titles like Pokemon Champions, Pragmata, Saros, and more. Some games that were out but not available for certain platforms will also get some exciting release like Hades 2 for consoles and starfield on Playstation 5

Here is a list of April 2026’s top 10 video game releases that you should lookout for!

Darwin’s Paradox!

Darwin’s Paradox! is an upcoming platform video game developed by ZDT Studio and published by Konami, with the official release date of 2nd April 2026 for Windows, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S. In this game, players take on the role of an octopus named Darwin, who must use his intelligence and ability to survive and make it back to the ocean.

Starfield

Bethesda’s SCI-FI RPG, Starfield is finally coming to PlayStation 5 this 7th of April, with 2 new DLC for all platforms. The first DLC (Terran Armada) will introduce new characters, locations, enemies, quest, systems, and rewards. Moreover the second DLC (Free Lanes) will ”deepen the core Starfield experience for both new and returning players” according to Bethesda.

Pokemon Champions

Pokemon Champions is a F2P Nintendo Switch game coming on 8th of April, with its mobile version coming later this year for both iOS and Android. In this game, players will be to able to make their own team of 6 Pokemons and battle with other players online.

Hades 2

Hades 2 is finally coming to Xbox and PlayStation 5 on April 14, having previously being a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. Hades 2 is a top-down rogue like action RPG game which is a direct sequel to its predecessor Hades, which won multiple game of the year awards.

Mouse: P.I for Hire

Mouse: P.I for Hire is a striking-looking first person shooter coming 16th of April on Windows, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S. Interestingly, the game features character designs based on early Mickey Mouse cartoons.

Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream

Tomodachi life: living the Dream is Switch exclusive releasing on 16th April, it is a life simulator where players create Mii characters, make them befriend each other and try to improve the overall happiness of the island they live in.

Pragmata

One of the most awaited games that was announced in The Game Awards 2025 is finally coming on 17th April on PS5, Xbox, Switch 2, and PC. Pragmata comes from the makers of Resident Evil and Monster Hunter, and is an action game with a Hacking twist, where players must multitask shooting robot enemies and simultaneously hacking their defences with a puzzle mini-game.

Albion Online

Finally being released on Xbox on 21st of April, Albion Online is a F2P is a open world sandbox MMORPG game set in a medieval world. In this players can drive the economy, craft gear, make guilds and take part in PvP combat with high stakes, while focusing on world exploration.

Outbound

Planned to release on PC, Xbox, Switch, and PS5 on 23rd of April with the title of most anticipated game nominee, Outbound is a cosy open-world exploration game set in a utopian near future. You start with an empty van and turn it into the house of your dreams either alone or with friends, by finding exploring and finding items to craft/build upon your van.

Saros

Finally after countless flashy dodges and boss fights clips on social media, Saros is set to release on 30th April as a PlayStation exclusive. with a third-person shooter gameplay that rains bullet hell on enemies.
