Key Highlights:
- A new Stellar Blade DLC is expected to be released soon.
- The DLC releases a few days later on PC.
- This could include a surprise collaboration event.
Stellar Blade has been a runaway success since its initial launch in April, 2024. Past a year, and the game is still going strong, on both the PlayStation 5 and the more recent PC release.
While developer Shift Up has usually delivered in terms of free content updates and collaboration events, this particular update seems to miss the mark a little. The update gets a disappointing, delayed release day on PCs for some reason.
Stellar Blade Free DLC Releases for PC Six Days Later
The official Stellar Blade account on X recently shared a few exciting updates regarding the gameโs future and of ongoing developments. This included the next major update for Stellar Blade, following the NieR: Automata and Nikke: Goddess of Victory collaboration events.
These events will be accessible from the Bulletin Board in-game, and will unlock for PS5 players first on September 24. PC players will have to wait an additional 6 days (that is, until the 30th of September) to access the same content.
While the delayed release is unfortunate, and to an extent frustrating, it is most certainly understandable. Stellar Blade was a PS5 only title until quite recently, and this might be Shift Upโs way of showing some love to the platform.
Whatโs Included in the Stellar Blade DLC?
The Stellar Blade DLC update is free, and brings with it the following items:
- New quests from the Bulletin Board.
- 6 new tracks from the existing OST. Unlockable once you visit The Last Gulp in Xion, and receive a Thank You Gift from Maya.
- A series of miscellaneous other bug fixes and the usual maintenance.
Other than the gifts mentioned earlier, it is speculated that Stellar Blade might be working behind the scenes to prepare another collaboration event. After all, the X handle of the game did post a rather cryptic, haunting message last week.
The message was titled โIn one weekโฆโ and hinted at something sinister heading over to the game. Given the upcoming PlayStation State of Play (which is supposed to be aired on September 24, 2025) scheduled for the day, we expect Stellar Blade to make an appearance as well.
However, donโt go expecting anything major. The team is likely working on small scale collaborations and events, instead of developing that reboot of the series they mentioned a while back.
There May Be a Silent Hill f Collab on the Way
The X post mentioned earlier does have a few sinister elements to it, in addition to a foreboding atmosphere. Given the strange nature of the image, in what appears to be a typical Japanese city alleyway, its quite possible that this is going to be a collaboration with the upcoming Silent Hill f.
It lines up perfectly well too. More so when we consider that Silent Hill f is going to be officially released on September 24 – which happens to be the same day the collab goes live on Stellar Blade.

Konami has been pushing Silent Hill f hard, and so far it has seemed to have paid off rather well. The game is garnering rave reviews from critics, and actually looks to be a decently optimized Unreal Engine 5 game after all.
One could even say that this is a kind of โrenaissanceโ for Konami, who has been marred in controversy for a while with its failed attempts at making live service games, in addition to unceremoniously firing Hideo Kojima.
