GTA 6 Delayed to November, 2026
As per the official Twitter/X post, Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed to Thursday, November 19, 2026. The game was originally meant to have been released on May 26, 2026 – before being delayed yet again, to the surprise of no one.
Hi everyone,

Grand Theft Auto VI will now release on Thursday, November 19, 2026.
We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect andโฆ pic.twitter.com/yLX9KIiDzX
According to Rockstar Games, this delay is necessary for the dev team to bring the game up to speed, and push in some additional polish to make it a more refined, bug free product. While the delay is unfortunate, it does raise some serious questions as to the timing, which so happens to coincide with a bunch of mass layoffs set after Rockstarโs workers attempt at unionizing, or so it is claimed.

All things considered though, it’s a rather minor delay in the grand scheme of things. However, we fully expect there to be even more delays set for the title.
