If you look at the right side of the Story Event art, you’ll spot one of the most obvious references of blocks falling down, which strongly resemble the iconic Tetris shapes. Tetris had already been linked to the season in earlier leaks, and its appearance in official promotional art carries more weight than a datamine. Epic appears to be signalling the crossover itself rather than leaving it to leaks.
Now, exactly how Tetris could be used in Fortnite isn’t clear yet. The franchise doesn’t really have a headline character they can turn into an outfit or skin. The blocks could become a map feature, a limited-time mechanic, or an event set piece. Whatever the case, the reference is there, and for now, fans have the strongest visual clue yet that something’s up with Tetris in Chapter 7 Season 4.

Crash Bandicoot Reference Adds Another Major Hint
That same section of the artwork seems to contain another reference to Crash Bandicoot. Among the bushes, there’s an orange block with a yellow question mark painted on it, which looks a lot like the trademark crates from the Crash Bandicoot series. It adds to a growing list of gaming references ahead of Season 4. Crash Bandicoot’s name has already been mentioned in previous leaks, so its appearance in official art reads as quiet confirmation of what leaks already suggested.

There’s yet another question among fans, – how would Crash Bandicoot fit into Fortnite? Given the character’s size, he might show up as a Sidekick instead of a full skin, but nothing’s official yet. It’s one way Epic could add the franchise without forcing Crash into a typical Fortnite outfit. Crash is not the only recent gaming reference. The Wonkeeland POI used to feature Pac-Man’s iconic music, though that was removed later. Even so, it points to a next season filled with gaming crossovers.
