Key Highlights:
- Valorant version 11.06 is out for all platforms.
- It brings with it a PC exclusive feature.
- The unavailability of this feature on consoles is a disappointment.
Itโs hard to believe that it’s been 5 years since Valorant was released. The first person shooter from Riot Games has since managed to take the world by storm, quickly growing to become one of the most popular Esports titles out there.
The game has come a long way since then, but there have been quite a few requested features from fans, most of which unfortunately never came to pass. This is about to change soon though, as the game plans to add the Replay feature with patch version 11.06.
However, certain players might be on the short end of the stick here, and this could be a deal breaker for them.
Valorant Adds a Replay Function With Version 11.06, but Only for PCs
Requests for a Replay feature on Valorant have been a consistent request since its inception 5 years back. Riot Games has always teased the idea of its arrival, even going on to hold a series of betas that featured the same.

However, it has never made its way to the retail build of the game. With version 11.06 of the Valorant, things appear to be changing finally, at least with regards to the PC version of the game.
The patch is currently live, and PC players can very easily access the Replay feature by navigating through the in-game menus. However, console players will not have access to the feature, at least until November.

Valorant has always been a PC focused title, with its origins dating back to the same. As such, it makes total sense as to why weโre yet to see simultaneous releases of features across both platforms.
While Riot Games would most certainly like to port the feature on to consoles, it likely needs a certain degree of optimization, polish and approval before it can be packaged for consoles. It could also mean that the rollout of the Replay function is still not perfect, and Riot wants to ensure it is up to par with already established console standards before shipping it out.
That being said, thereโs not a whole lot to do right now. We will just have to wait until the feature is ported over. Still, it is kind of disappointing to have the console version kind of neglected in the process.
All You Need to Know About the Replay Feature for Valorant
The Replay feature for Valorant is currently live, as of the time of writing this article for PCs. To access it, simply update your game to version 11.06, by using the official launcher. The feature is an integral part of the game now, and can be accessed using the Match Details and/or Career Pages menus.
Once downloaded, a Replay can view a ton of information, including first person views, all outlined with their corresponding player outlines for easier identification. Players can also choose to jump between different timestamped regions of the match, and use a separate, third person camera to analyze the footage.
All of this sounds rather too good to be true, and it is, in a way. The catch is that you can only view Replays of matches you have personally participated in, which should limit the scope of these replays by a fair margin.
This is in stark contrast to other competitive games, which do not levy any such restriction.
Thereโs also the question of performance, which Riot Games has repeatedly assured wouldnโt be affected by the inclusion of the Replay feature.
