Itโs been a while since weโve heard of anything substantial from The Elder Scrolls 6, the brand new, upcoming entry in Bethesda Softworksโ flagship Elder Scrolls video game series. The game initially received its debut teaser back in E3 2018, with a projected release window of 2026 or later.
Things might be finally taking a turn for the better though, with a rather recent leak allegedly divulging details on the upcoming title, including its progression systems, PlayStation release and updated, expected release window.
Everything We Know About the Elder Scrolls 6: Iliac So Far
Alleged The Elder Scrolls VI: Iliac (internal name: WhiteBeach) leak found on 4chan

The Elder Scrolls 6 has been codenamed Iliac, as per a recent leak circulating on 4chan, of all places. Also known as WhiteBeach internally, TES 6 will be allegedly set in the region of Hammerfell (within the TES universe) and the Coastal High Rock.
As far as the story goes, it will be set around a conflict on the Nocturnal, Peryite and Akaviri artifacts – this is all we know so far, so there really isnโt a whole lot if weโre being honest here.
The game is also expected to have side stories.
As far as gameplay is concerned, it is expected to be a direct evolution of the already pre-established Elder Scrolls formula, with the usual quirks. At the very least, it has been known to be an open world title, with a focus on no loading screens. There will also be elements of ship building, procedurally generated areas and regrettably, the return of generic Starfield-like NPCs.

Interestingly, the leak also mentions that TES 6โs development is going a lot smoother than one would expect, with the game being nearly feature complete. The leaks also mention the fact that Iliac will be aiming for a Holiday 2026 to Q1 2027 release date, with a probable showcase during the next yearโs Summer Game Fest.
While there do exist some similarities with this leak and those released previously (such as the shipbuilding and sailing elements, with a procedurally generated zone) it should be kept in mind that this leak originates from 4chan.
Take everything you read here with a huge grain of salt. Things will likely change later down the line, and the final product will not be similar to whatever has been described here.
Xbox Will Release TES 6 on PlayStation, but at a Later Date
Another intriguing mention within these leaks was the presence of a confirmed PlayStation port. Yes, The Elder Scrolls 6: Iliac will be heading over to the PlayStation 5, but at a much later date.
This lines up perfectly with Xboxโs recent strategies of going multiplatform as of late, for better or worse. The game is very likely to be simultaneously released on PCs and Xbox consoles though, which is very much appreciated.
A Nintendo Switch 2 port is also speculated to be in the works, although it will likely be delayed further, after the PS5 port is out.
Xbox has been making grand strides in bringing its games across a wide selection of platforms, and this should help embolden its vision. That being said though, it still is kind of weird to see console exclusivity die down, even if it is ultimately beneficial for gamers as a whole.
