Key Highlights:

  • A YouTuber has managed to beat all of Holow Knight Silksongโ€™s bosses.
  • This challenge involved not taking a single hit in each run.
  • Itโ€™s quite an impressive feat to have accomplished.

A player has already managed to beat all of Hollow Knight Silksongโ€™s bosses, without taking a single hit. This impressive no damage run is doubly impressive when you consider that Silksong features some brutal bosses, which take a massive step up when compared to the first Hollow Knight.

This feat was achieved by YouTuber CrankyTemplar, and it has been a little over 7 days since, which makes you question why so few people know of this accomplishment yet.

YouTuber Beats All Hollow Knight Silksong Bosses Without Being Hit

Well, it was bound to happen at some point. YouTuber CrankyTemplar has managed to beat all of Hollow Knight Silksongโ€™s bosses without taking a single hit. Each run is more impressive than the last, and rounds up to a beautiful finale.

The YouTuber has uploaded the entire series on his channel, beating separate bosses. This is quite impressive on its own, even when we consider that this feat took quite a few retries to complete for certain frustrating bosses, stopping the completion of the mythical hitless run.

The near two hour long video features an impressive display of skill, pattern recognition and persistence. Hornet mostly makes use of her needle and a few gadgets, which makes it all the more amazing to witness.

Just How Difficult Is Hollow Knight Silksong?

Hollow Knight Silksong is not an easy game. It is a huge step up over the first Hollow Knight, both in terms of scale and difficulty. The sequel features some brutal bosses and difficult platforming sections that will most certainly test the patience of most gamers.

More so for players who are unaccustomed to the whole Metroidvania genre, and those who might have jumped in blind following the hype train.

Itโ€™s been too much for some fans, many of whom have released โ€˜easy modeโ€™ mods on Nexusmods and the like, promising a tuned down dfifficulty that still keeps the original essence intact.

That being said, it’s not impossible to beat Hollow Knight Silksong. The game, like most Metroidvanias, requires a lot of patience and careful retries to clear. This is part of the gameโ€™s experience, and a core part of its design.

Is Hollow Knight Silksong Worth Playing?

Hollow Knight Silksong arrived after an 8 year long wait, and each year built more hype than the last. Team Cherry obviously had a lot to live up to (and prove), and Hollow Knight Silksong has more than kept its promise.

The game has received rave reviews from both fans and critics since its launch, and even kind words from skeptics along the way.

Silksong can be best described as a labor of love, made from a small team that understands the passion behind making a game, and delivering on that front as well. It is one of the best games of this year, and a testament to what the world of indie gaming can deliver.

Itโ€™s also best described as the GTA 6 of the indie gaming world, and with good reason. Silksong caused a lot of commotion when its release date was revealed, pushing other indie games out of the spotlight for good.

Many games decided to defer their release dates on the anticipation of Silksongโ€™s launch success, and the ones that didn’t were quite naturally sidelined.

Which is a lot of words and paragraphs to say that its a good game, and that you should really give it an honest try. Silksong is available on all major gaming platforms, as well as on Microsoftโ€™s Xbox Game Pass service, making it super accessible. Itโ€™s also only $20 to own.
