Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Introduces a Major Rework for Freya

As detailed in a rather long X post (from the official Mobile Legends: Bang Bang account), an official rework for Valkyrie – Freya was announced, set to bring her more in line with current gen units. These changes include optimizations for her combat moves, skills and of course, her overall design – which is said to be upgraded around her โ€˜classic Valkyrie imageโ€™.

All You Need to Know About Freyaโ€™s Revamp in Mobile Legends Bang Bang

Freyaโ€™s entire revamp has been centered around her origin as a Valkyrie. This extends into her overall design as well as gameplay, with notable features including the use of radiant wings, and a โ€˜goddess-likeโ€™ image, befitting a Valkyrie.

Prior to this, Freya had a lot of issues with her kit, mostly with regard to her high skill ceiling, which made her incredibly difficult to play. Her second skillโ€™s cooldown also went on for far too long, which made her feel slow and unresponsive in battle.

This has been addressed with her rework, and now Freya can repeat her second skill alongside her basic attack, with no cooldown attached to it. This is a massive change that should completely transform the way she is played.

Additionally, Freya has also received a buff to her Ultimate, which has now been adjusted to a โ€˜one time entry skillโ€™. This was followed by yet another buff to her capabilities against multiple foes, making her ideal for mowing down hostile mobs.

Her Ultimate acts as a phase shift of sorts, imbuing her normal, Basic Attacks with area splash damage. Once these attacks land on an enemy, they will restore HP for Freya.

Miscellaneous other important changes include the recovery of Scared Orbs even when outside of combat, which should make Freya more battle ready, providing her buffs ahead of time. Sacred Orbs are important, since they are required by Freya to cast her Skill 2.

Given that Skill 2 has virtually no cooldown attached to it, you can imagine that generating Sacred Orbs in the middle of battle will turn out ot be a very important mechanic.
