Key Highlights:
- Battlefield 6 is set to shake the battle royale game.
- The game brings with it a super difficult elimination ring.
- All of this is done while ensuring that the game remains Battlefield to its core.
Battlefield 6 has notably always lacked one important feature that is predominant in modern military first person shooters. Now, the developers intend to add in the missing piece of the puzzle with the brand new reveal of a battle royale mode.
Battlefield 6 will bring its own, unique spin on the popular game mode with an emphasis on punishing difficulty and close quarters combat. Dubbed the โDeadliest Ring in BRโ, this aims to change the game but still retain the core formula of Battlefield along the way.
Battlefield 6 Amps up the Difficulty for Battle Royale
Battlefield 6 will bring its own spin to the classic battle royale formula, all while keeping the basics unchanged. The area for the game map will keep shrinking as usual, but with a dangerous twist, which earns it the โdeadliest ring in BRโ moniker.
Players caught in the ring are instantly killed, making the stakes quite high. Players will be forced to keep up with the added pressure, and every second will count, as will each bullet as the cover space grows smaller.
The ring cannot be avoided or outmanoeuvred, as it can go through walls or cover. It is certainly an interesting strategy, but it remains to be seen how well this mechanic will actually be appreciated by the community.

When Does the Battle Royale Testing Begin in Battlefield 6?
As per the official X thread, there is unfortunately no set date for the battle royale testing phase just yet. LABS has teased an update soon though, so weโll have to remain patient for now, until LABS shares an update in the future.
That being said, there are a few things you can do to stay updated and in the loop. For starters, apply for LABS if you havenโt already. Also, make sure to join the official Battlefield LABS Discord server, and stay active in the community to learn more.

Battlefield 6 Promises to Be Battlefield to Its Core
Itโs obvious that the appeal and lure of a battle royale mode was too much for even Battlefield to ignore. Itโs popular for a reason, and many players have been clamoring for its arrival ever since the first few closed beta tests began.
Itโs safe to say that Battlefield LABS has been doing well for quite some time now, and is finally ready to share its version of the battle royale to the world. All of this is while making sure that the franchise doesnโt lose its identity in the whole process, turning into a generic Call of Duty clone instead.
As such, LABS has added a ton of essential elements from the Battlefield series into the new game. Chiefly, this includes a greater emphasis on action and fast paced gameplay, while retaining the class based gameplay and tactical destruction elements that had been previously established in the betas.
This also means that gadgets will make a return, in addition to explosives, and of course, a ton of weaponry to choose from.
You can also expect a focus on squad-play, with each match featuring 100 players, sorted into 4 separate squads with 25 players each. Communication is key, as is the use of redeployment options during the course of the battle royale.
