Fortnite recently launched a new collaboration with Warner Bros’ properties, more specifically a particular one related to Batman. The collaboration in question is between Batman Beyond and Fortnite, which makes it a rather unique one.

Fortnite is no stranger to weird and wacky collabs, and this week’s collaborative event includes a surprise addition of a sub franchise that many assumed long dead. We’re talking about Batman Beyond here, a TV series that initially aired in 1999, and quickly grew to become one of the favorite additions to the Batman IP out there.
To commemorate that occasion, the team at Fortnite has prepared a series of cosmetics, which include the following:

These items will remain purchasable until December 29, 2025. The bundle and its contents will expire at around 5:30 AM local time, so make sure to hurry if you are interested in picking the items up.
It should also be mentioned that the bundle includes two Lego variants as well (one for Batman Beyond, and the other for Joker Beyond), making it an even more lucrative purchase.
Should You Buy The Batman Beyond Collab Items?
If you are a Batman Beyond fan, this can turn out to be a pretty good deal for most. It’s also recommended to buy the Bundle over individual purchases, as it has a staggering 3400 V-Bucks discount on it.
The final price tallies to exactly 2800 V-Bucks, making the bundle an amazing pick.
That being said, these are all cosmetics and do not offer any gameplay enhancements of the sort. Which is probably for the best.

In the end, it all boils down to personal preference. Although, the skins do seem to be of high quality, and resemble the TV series strikingly well.
What This Could Mean For The Future of Batman Beyond in Gaming
Interestingly enough, this is the first major and proper appearance of Batman Beyond in a modern day video game. While we’ve had a dedicated, standalone Batman Beyond game in the past (Return of the Joker), it was back in November 2000.
Since then, Batman Beyond has had several appearances in media but mostly as one off titles that can’t really be held as proper, full experiences.
We’re yet to see the return of Terry McGinnis as Batman Beyond in the video game format though, and Fortnite’s explicit addition of the hero (remember, this is Terry McGinnis as Batman Beyond – not Tim Drake) might just shake things up a little for the fanbase.
There is a lot to look forward to in the future (or so it is hoped), and fans have been begging for a new Batman Beyond game for ages at this point.
Assuming everything pans out (and the pieces fall into place), we could have a standalone Batman Beyond game, sooner rather than later.
